"Fantastic" value offered by 2-bed houses

Consumers looking to take their first few steps on the property
ladder could be tempted to invest in a two-bedroom abode, following
comments from one sector commentator.
Paul Holmes, chief executive at Firstrung, said that such
properties offer a range of benefits to people.
He explained that houses or flats of this kind are very flexible
and present opportunities for rental.
In addition, two-bed properties are also relatively low-risk and
allow people to quickly take steps to fully own the structure due
to their size.
"If you can buy a two-bedroom house - in terms of return on your
investment, they are fantastic," he concluded.
Mr Holmes made his remarks after Halifax published its house price
index for November 2009 in recent days.
The figures showed that property prices rose by a total of 1.4 per
cent over the course of the month, taking the average value to
£167,664.
